It is the perfect storm: you turn the key and nothing happens, then you notice one of your tyres is completely flat. A non-starting car with a flat tyre is a frustrating and potentially expensive situation, but there are steps you can take to handle it calmly and get back on the road.
First, assess which problem is more urgent. If the car will not start at all, you cannot drive it to a garage even if the flat tyre is fixed. Start by diagnosing the starting issue. Is the battery completely dead — no lights, no dashboard, no click? Or does the engine turn over slowly but fail to start? A totally dead battery often needs a jump-start or replacement.
